He was buried on 30 August 1948 at Evergreen Cemetery, Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.

     Aven Scarborough was born on 24 May 1791 at Burke County, Georgia. He married Elizabeth Davidson on 10 September 1812 at Georgia. Aven Scarborough died on 11 March 1873 at Mellow Valley, Clay County, Alabama, at age 81.

     Elizabeth Davidson was born on 25 March 1795 at Georgia. She married Aven Scarborough on 10 September 1812 at Georgia. Elizabeth Davidson died circa 1885 at Clay County, Alabama.

Son, Paul, daughter, May and a granddaughter, Pauline, are with them.

     Marcus Fleddy Colwell was born on 8 June 1856 at Chambers County, Alabama. She married John Monroe Scarbrough, son of Joseph Newton Scarborough and Penelope Satterwhite, on 13 September 1877 at Harrison County, Texas. Marcus Fleddy Colwell died on 4 August 1943 at Precinct 1, Wichita County, Texas, at age 87; I have copy of death certificate. She was buried on 7 August 1943 at Hot Springs, Sierra County, New Mexico.

     William M. Collins was born circa 1844 at Harris County, Georgia.

     James Collins was born circa 1846 at Georgia. He married Sarah 'Sally' Thornton in 1863.
