  1. In the 1870 census, Allen is listed as Alburna. I believe his name is actually Allen Bernice and the census taker misunderstood. My reason for thinking his name is Allen Bernice is that Jesse Eugene Winter has a son named Allen Bernice, whom I believe to be a namesake. I have logged what information I have found on Allen B. in hopes that my findings are correct.
