Isaac Mitchell Sr. was born in 1730 at Lun, West Virginia. He married Sarah Satterwhite, daughter of Thomas Satterwhite and Sarah Hannah (?), circa 1750 at Lun, West Virginia. Isaac Mitchell Sr. died on 29 October 1811 at Newberry County, South Carolina.
Isaac Mitchell Sr. moved to Newberry County, South Carolina. He had four more daughters. Their husband's names are
John Golden, William Swords, Langdale, and McKie.
